Fitness and Nutrition Activities (Adults and Youth 14 and up)-
Zumba Fitness- Mondays, Wednesdays & NOW FRIDAYS! @ 5:15 PM ($3 fee with membership/ $5 without) Zumba has been cancelled on the following dates due to winter/school activites:
Dec 7th, 12th and 14th.
Tuesday Night Volleyball- Each Tuesday night starting at 5:15 PM (January 1st FREE w/Membership or $2 without)
Dad's Basketball - Thursdays at 6 PM (FREE w/membership, $2 without)
Senior Exercise Classes - Mondays and Thursdays 8-9 AM ($5/mo membership required)
Weight Room- open hours 8 AM to 6 PM see monthly weight room calendar for availability, membership required for all Fitness activities.
Group Activities for Adults and Seniors-
Pinochle Card Playing - Each Thursday starting at 9 AM
Bingo - the first Friday of each month at 6:15 PM, NEXT BINGO WILL BE ON DEC 14TH
Activities for Families-
Drop In Play Groups- The drop in play area is for parent and child and is available during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8 AM to 6 PM.
Cookies with Santa Event- December 21st at 1 PM, come enjoy cookies and hot cocoa with Santa and make ornaments with your family!
Activities for Youth- JH Snowflake Social is Dec 7th at 6 PM for all interested 7th and 8th grade students. There will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, gaming, crafts, music, snacks and more!
Community Education Events-
Baby Signs Classes- October 30th, Nov 6, Nov 20th, Dec 4th, Dec 11th and Dec 18th
9:30 to 10:00 AM.
Infant Massage Classes- Dec 11th and Dec 18th 10 to 11 AM - CALL TO REGISTER
Nutrition Education- Harvest of the Month (HOTM) Taste Testing of Fruit and Vegetables and Story time literacy activities are held monthly at the Pre-K classes, Small Blessings Daycare and the Escuelita Montessori. My plate education is also held in Pre-K classrooms monthly.
Health and Safety Education- Presentations are held monthly in the Pre-k classes topics include:
Manners, Hand Washing, Dental Hyiene, Nutrition, Being thankful, Winter Safety, Toy safety, Fire safety, Stranger danger, 911 practice, First aid, Graphing, Outdoor safety, Water safety, and Rethink your drink.
Read Across Siskiyou- The 5th Annual "Read Across Siskiyou" is Wednesday, December 12th helping spread the joy of reading to children across Siskiyou County. Guest Readers Vanessa Jones and Brandon Criss will be reading "Snow Friends" in both PreK and Kindergarten classrooms this year.
