Santa Claus is coming to town!



Community, Family and Friends:  Santa Claus is coming to town!  Please join us on December 21st for pictures with santa, ornament making, snacks, and FREE stockings courtesy of the Tulelake Peace Officers Association all starting at 1 PM.  From 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM we will be serving a Holiday Dinner to everyone!   Dinners to go are available.  Thanks to the generous work of our very dear friends Ken & Mertha Warwick and a grant from Ford Family Foundation this family holiday meal is FREE.  Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and supporters in the community, please join us!

Due to scheduling conflicts at the Honker, Bingo for December 14th has been cancelled.  The Tulelake High School will be hosting The Honker Classic Basketball Tournament and will need use of the facility.  Hope to see you at the next Bingo Jan 4th.  Sorry for any inconvenience, Happy Holidays Everyone!

JH Snowflake Social this Friday at 6 PM

This Friday, December 7th is the JH Snowflake Social in partnership with Tulelake High School.  Open to all Tulelake 7th and 8th grade students.  Activities include 3 on 3 basketball tournament, gaming, crafts, music, snacks and more.  Please join us!

Thanksgiving Food Boxes 2012

Thank you to the Tulelake High School students and teachers for all of your hard work.  Through collaboration, numerous donations, and amazing volunteers we were able to put together a total of 21 Thanksgiving Food Boxes for families and 5 Thanksgiving meals for seniors for this holiday weekend.  A big thank you to the Ford Family Foundation for their generous grant to help with these food boxes.  Thank you to TEACH, Inc. and also to community members that donated their precious food and time.  Everyone did an amazing job, we should all be thankful we live in such a giving community!  Hope you all have a Happy Turkey Day!


 
 

Halloween Carnival 2012

The Halloween Carnival was a great success this year.  Thank you so much to Jocks supermarket for helping to sponsor this event.  Thank you to all of our community partners and volunteers including Tulelake Elementary school teachers, students and parents.  We really enjoy partnering with all of you on this great event.  Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe!

Read Across Siskiyou-  The 5th Annual "Read Across Siskiyou" is Wednesday, December 12th helping spread the joy of reading to children across Siskiyou County.  Guest Readers Vanessa Jones and Brandon Criss will be reading "Snow Friends" in both PreK and Kindergarten classrooms this year.

Lights out zumba tickets now on sale

Lights out Zumba Fitness is a fundraising event for the Honker and will be held Friday, August 10th 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $5/adult and children over 8. Childcare will be available for children 7 and under for $2/child. Glow items and water bottles will be available for purchase. Please purchase your tickets early, they are available now at the Honker.
